TANGO MARATHON in Gran Canaria
La Ronda de los Abrazos wanted to host a world hug, a friendly meeting in Gran Canaria!
It’s about dancing, relaxing, breathing and enjoying the ocean of emotions that surrounds us.
It’s a meeting of tango lovers who use the “mirada” and the “cabeceo”
and who passionately care for a respectful round on the dance floor.
Our venue is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the gorgeous Las Canteras beach! It’s one of the treasures of the Canary Islands and we’re so excited to have you there.
It’s close to the historic centre with its shops, museums, theatre,
Columbus House, cathedral, bars and restaurants.
What’s more, we have a smooth dance floor, comfortable lighting, air conditioning and a great sound system.

In this seminar we will focus on using acceleration to create our own musicality.
We will study in depth how the dynamics of spinning can be manipulated to create different expressive possibilities in dance.
